چکیده

The load–deformation relationship under the footing is essential for foundation design. Shallow foundations are subjected to changes in hydrological conditions such as rainfall and drought, affecting their saturation level conditions. actual load–settlement response design reconstructions determined experimentally, numerically, or utilizing both approaches. Ssettlement computation performed through large-scale physical modeling extensive laboratory testing. It expensive, labor intensive, time consuming. This study carried out determine effect of different degrees loading on settlement shallow using numerical Plaxis 2D, Bentley Systems, Exton, Pennsylvania, US. Plastic was used dry soil calculation, while fully coupled flow deformation partially saturated soil. Pore pressure were computed deformation. A Numerical Evaluation of Seismic Response of Shallow Soil Deposits

This paper employs one-dimensional numerical ground response analysis models to investigate seismic response of shallow cohesive and non-cohesive soil deposits on vertical propagation of horizontal shear waves. Soil response is modelled by traditional equivalent-linear (EL) frequency-domain analysis using DEEPSOIL software and nonlinear (NL) time-domain analysis using OPENSEES software. The ana...

Soil-Structure Interaction of Buried Pipes Under Cyclic Loading Conditions

The safety of lifelines, as the most important urban facilities, under different conditions highly depends on the safe design and performance of these buried structures. This cannot be achieved unless their actual behaviors are well understood and considered at the designing stage. A new physical model was developed in Amirkabir University of Technology to study the behavior of buried pipes und...
